Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-10-26

These terms govern your use of the Bridgefold browser extension and, when used, its optional native host (together, “Bridgefold”). By installing or using Bridgefold you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not install or use Bridgefold.

What Bridgefold is

Bridgefold is a free, independent tool that connects a browser tab to the AI connection you choose on your own computer: an HTTPS OpenAI-compatible API directly from the extension, or an optional native Cursor connection. Bridgefold itself is free, has no paid features, and does not process payments. Your selected AI provider may charge for API requests, including connection verification, and applies its own account limits and terms. A Cursor subscription and API-provider credit are separate services; Bridgefold does not include either. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Anysphere, Inc. Cursor is a trademark of Anysphere, Inc.

These terms cover Bridgefold, including the published release and maintenance updates. Browser API tasks require a compatible model with tool and image support. The optional Cursor path requires a separately installed native host and usable Cursor access. Public companion/bootstrap and clean-machine native distribution remain under qualification; automatic IDE setup is not promised. See Setup for current availability.

Your accounts and your responsibility

Bridgefold acts on your instructions, in your browser, under your own accounts. You are responsible for the tasks you start, for the pages you grant access to, and for complying with the terms of the sites you use it on and with the terms of your selected AI provider, including Anysphere’s terms when you use Cursor. An agent can misread a page or take an action you did not intend, so review what it proposes before approving consequential steps, and do not point it at anything you cannot afford to have changed.

Acceptable use

Do not use Bridgefold to break the law, to circumvent access controls or bot protection, to send unsolicited messages, to scrape or process data you have no right to, or to interfere with a service you do not control.

No warranty

Bridgefold is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. There is no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any action it takes will be correct or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Bridgefold is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, business or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use Bridgefold, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or any other theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to Bridgefold is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or, where you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights under the law of your country of residence.

Third-party services

Bridgefold sends your prompts and the page content you select to the AI provider you connect through your own account, and, with the native connection, can pass task data to MCP servers you enable. Those services are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies, and the developer of Bridgefold is not responsible for them. See the privacy and permission disclosure for what is sent where.

Changes and termination

These terms may change as Bridgefold changes; the date above records the current version, and continuing to use Bridgefold after a change means you accept it. You may stop using Bridgefold at any time by removing the extension and, if installed, uninstalling the optional native host.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, where the developer is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence.
